The Cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Lesbury, where you will find a small village store / post office and a good local pub. The beautiful beach at Alnmouth is a nice walk or short drive away. Alnmouth also has a railway station with links to Edinburgh etc ideal should you fancy a day trip. Within the area you will find numerous fantastic beaches and castles to explore along with countyside towns like Alnwick which houses one of the many famous castles and gardens our region has to offer. The fishing town of Amble with a local thriving fishing fleet is also a short drive away. Be it a countryside or coastal retreat you are looking for this area has it all in abundance, with plenty of walks and cycle routes if you are feeling energetic or simply just to stroll around and enjoy at leisure.
The Cottage itself is the end of a three link terrace in the centre of the village, formally a Dukes cottage constructed in 1912. Inside you will find a comfortable lounge / dining room with gas fire for those cold winter nights and wi-fi to keep you connected should you wish. A well equipped kitchen if you fancy eating in, with full electric cooker. microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, towels are provided. Central heating is also included in the price.
