The bungalow is situated at the west side of the victorian spa village of Strathpeffer. The large back garden with garden furniture overlooks fields.
Strathpeffer is a popular tourist resort - an ideal centre for touring the Highlands.
It has a range of shops including grocer with post office, chemist, craft shops, hairdresser, coffee/tea shops, Belgium chocolate shop, internet cafe, cycle shop where bikes can be hired. The Pavilion set in the centre of the village has been restored and has a lovely licensed restaurant and offers entertainments/events throughout the year. The grounds have been restored where you can enjoy a stroll. The pump room where you can buy the famous sulphur water also serves as the local tourist office. There is also a range of craft shops, tea room and museum of childhood at the old railway station 300 yards from the village square.
There is an 18 hole golf course, bowling green and tennis courts.
The shops in the village normally open 9 am to 5.30 and most open again between 8pm and 10pm Monday to Saturday during the summer months.
During the summer season Strathpeffer Pipe Band and Highland Dancers perform each Saturday evening in the village square.
The county town of Dingwall is approx 4.5 miles away and has a wide range of shops inc 24 hour Tesco and railway station. It also offers free parking.
City of Inverness is 30 mins drive: Dornoch 45 mins; Ullapool 40 mins.
