Balbeag - 'the little settlement' is a very comfortable and well appointed family holiday home set in a tranquil position amongst birch trees on the approach to Glen Feshie and with far reaching views across the Spey Valley. Built of pine logs in traditional 'Scandinavian' style, the cottage provides a warm and inviting atmosphere together with a full range of equipment and efficient electric heating throughout. It sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, each with good sized wardrobes. There is a shower room and bathroom, each with wc and a good sized utility room. The L-shaped living room which includes the dining area has good southerly views, comfortable traditional sofas and armchair, a wood burning stove. and plenty of entertainment including satellite TV, DVD player, CD player with radio, books and games and a pay phone. The open plan kitchen is very well equipped. Within the fenced garden there is a paved terrace with a large table and bench seating, a barbecue, 2 dog kennels (each with a small run), and ample car parking.
Balbeag is an ideal base from which to enjoy the wide range of sports, activities and attractions within the Cairngorm National Park and being positioned in the centre of the Scottish Highlands, it is well placed for day trips to such places as Loch Ness, the Isle of Skye, Braemar, the Whisky Trail, Blair Castle and the House of Bruar.

The open plan kitchen leads off the dining area. It is very well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator, dish washer, coffee machine and food mixer, together with a wide range of utensils, pans and dishes. The L-shaped living room benefits from a good southerly view up the Spey Valley and it includes the dining area with a generous sized table, seating at least 8. The sofas and armchair are traditional and comfortable and the wood burning stove has doors so you can enjoy an open fire. For entertainment, there are games, jigsaw puzzles, books and a card table, satellite TV, a DVD player, and a CD player with a radio. There is also a pay phone.
