The Barn provides 4* quality self-catering accommodation for 2 adults and 2 children in the village of Medstead, midway between Alton and Alresford. Situated on the north west boundary of the South Downs and at almost 700 feet above sea level it enjoys panoramic views south towards Winchester. The surrounding countryside offers ideal walking and cycling opportunities with a good network of footpaths and bridleways. Clay shooting, fly fishing, horse riding and golf are within a 10 minute drive. Internet access and dog friendly. Member of the eco friendly Green Leaf Scheme.
Located in a quiet, picturesque and rural area, away from busy main roads yet within easy access of all the main attractions Hampshire has to offer. Medstead has a pretty 11th century church and has its own village shop, post office and pub, The Castle of Comfort, which are within walking distance of The Barn. More than our fair share of excellent pubs within the locality. Popular Watercress Line (steam trains) 10 minute drive.
The Barn is a peaceful rural retreat situated in over 10 acres of private grounds including wild flower meadows and ancient woodland with all the associated flora and fauna. The woods are a mass of bluebells in the spring. Situated adjacent to the main farm house The Barn remains very private with its own entrance, off road parking space, private patio and garden area with seating. Children are free to roam and explore the woods. Also welcome to feed hens and collect eggs.
