The main house dating from the 1700's and the stables from the 1840's are both grade II listed.
The stables have been recently converted and now provide luxury accommodation called walnut Farm. They have much character, and are set around a large courtyard.
Tourist attractions include Ashby Castle of Ivanhoe, Calke Abbey, Staunton Harold, Conkers, Snibston Discovery Park, Melbourne Hall, National Space Centre, Sudbury Hall, Kedleston Hall, Foremark Reservoir & Swarkestone with their water-sports facilities. Other local attractions are Donnington Park, Coors Visitor Centre and Twycross Zoo.
Ashbourne (the �Gateway to Dovedale and the Peak District�) and the ever-popular Alton Towers, are an easy drive.
