This lovely little holiday cottage lying just outside the hamlet of Lintrathen is a perfect ‘get-away-from-it-all’ in the tranquil surroundings of the Angus countryside. A detached former bothy it benefits from a wonderful woodburner and glorious views over rolling farmland from the decking surrounding the property on two sides. Situated in the peaceful grounds of a smallholding where the owners keep a small flock of Shetland sheep there are loose boxes available for horse owners as well as bicycles for guests’ use. An ideal location for nature lovers the lochs of Lintrathen and Kinnordy are nearby and are wonderful places to spot many types of birds including osprey kingfisher and marsh harrier. Walking opportunities for all levels abound: the Cateran Trail is on the doorstep and the Five Glens of Angus offer good hill walking and cycling. Glamis Castle and Scone Palace are within easy reach. Horse riding is available at Kirriemuir (7 miles) where there are shops and good places to eat.
