The village is situated on the South East coast of Lewis with magnificent views overlooking Loch Shell, the Shiant Isles and across the Minch to the Isle of Skye. It is ideally placed for hillwalkers, fishing and bird watching. The cottage is well placed for guests with a variety of pursuits in mind, whether into hillwalking, trout and sea fishing or bird watching. There are dozens of brown trout lochs nearby, most of which can be used free of charge. Permits for salmon and trout fishing can be obtained on request.
For golfing enthusiasts there are Golf Courses both in Stornoway (18 Holes) and also Scarista in the Isle of Harris (9 Holes).
Golden and Sea Eagles and other form of wild life populate in this area and are a joy to watch.
The property is double glazed and electric storage heaters are fitted throughout.
We provide a Patio Table complete with chairs and recliners for use outside. It is envisaged that a BBQ area will be constructed shortly so guests can further enjoy the outdoor ambience during the delightful Hebridean Summer evenings.

The Living Room has a Colour TV complete with Freeview Digital set-top box, VCR/DVD unit, Hi-Fi Unit and CD player, along with a good library of DVD's. There are a number of telephone points provided for Internet access.
